Ed's music workshop has been a fixture in the Peterborough music scene since 1982, and relocated to 531 Park Street North (MAP) in 1990.

Unlike many retail establishments "Ed's" prides itself on it's relaxed "general store" type atmosphere. At any given time you may witness any number of regulars discussing Don's latest vintage aquisition, or what they did on the weekend.

Proprietor Don Skuce is a skilled luthier, and accomplished guitarist. Amateur and professional musicians alike rely on Don to keep their stringed instruments in tip-top shape.

When Don isn't in the store, you'll find Wyatt Burton behind the counter. Under Don's tutelage Wyatt is fast becoming the go-to guy for guitar repairs and friendly, knowledgeable service at Ed's Music Workshop.

Don also maintains a large collection of Vintage Guitars, Amplifiers and Lap Steels with an emphasis on Gibson Acoustics and Electrics, and Fender Electrics and Amps.

We encourage you to try the instruments we have for sale in the store, and offer a friendly low-pressure atmosphere.

While we are a licensed dealer for many name brands the focus of this website is limited to vintage and used instruments. Sales of new instruments, amps, and supplies will be limited to in store visitors.
